Vacuum excavation is a process where vacuum or suction is used to physically suck the mud or other debris out of a vault, tank, or other enclosure. This is typically used for the cleaning and maintenance of irrigation systems, but can be used in other applications as well.
If you have an irrigation system that has vaults or mud traps built in, chances are you are already familiar with this type of service. Vaults and mud traps are designed let mud, silt, and other debris "fall out" of a pipe system at a specific location. This allows the flow in the pipes to remain consistent. Mud and silt deposits that would otherwise be trapped inside a pipe system, now have a chance to be deposited and trapped somewhere else. These sediments and other deposits need to be removed periodically in order to maintain adequate flow in an irrigation system. If the vault or trap becomes full or clogged, irrigation systems can be rendered completely useless.
ACS Sewer & Irrigation Services is committed to providing excellent service to water users around the area. We are able to vacuum excavate vaults, mud traps, ponds, and other water enclosures. This service is essential to those who have these devices in their irrigation systems. By utilizing an extremely high CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) vacuum pump, our technicians and vacuum truck are able to handle the excavation of mud, silt, and other deposits. We vacuum excavate the enclosure and then transport the deposits off site to be used as fill in another location.
